Expedition

Turns out this is the first of a Consecutive Hash, the second being here.

Saw this would be easily reachable and was already planning on being out after work. I needed to stop at a thrift store to look for a new office chair. I had broken the one I had while leaning back to pet one of the dogs over the weekend. One of the wooden back supports broke and I could no longer use the backrest. I had that chair since I was a kid but I knew it was only a matter of time as things were getting loose anyway.

The plan was to stop at the thrift store close to home, but they didn't have anything. There was another sort of on the way to the hash and stopping there, I found a sturdy replacement for just $3.

Next it was on to the hash which I tried to go No Batteries. The hash was in the driveway about at the level of a big tree in the lawn next door according to the satellite view. Turning on the street, I had a hard time seeing the house numbers and I thought I recognized the house, but things looked different. I turned around and parked in front of what I thought was the house and turned on the GPS. Turns out I did pick the right driveway, but there had been updates. They redid the driveway, and the tree has been removed since the satellites have gone over.

Doing the GPS dance, I ended up at the foot of the driveway about one step away from the sidewalk. I attempted to get pictures but it was tough in the dark with the glare of the flash. Doing the best I could, I then headed for home where we reheated leftovers for dinner.

Being in the town of Amherst, I am issuing a Tale of Two Hashes Challenge. Speaking of the ToTH Achievement, I have been trying to get some (any) feedback on updated ribbons for this but no one seems to care. I created two options to simplify and make them easier to read/set up:

There is a proposal to update the Completion ribbon for easier reading and understanding. Please visit here and leave your thoughts and suggestions. Once there is some agreement, the ribbon will be updated.
