Plans

This hashpoint was only about 1.5 miles from my sister's house where I was visiting for the weekend. It was also along the way to the train station via which I planned to go to Dragon*Con 2017 downtown that day.

Expedition

My dad had already offered to drop me off at the the train station, and he agreed to this very short side-trip along the way. He stayed in the car in a nearby parking lot while I walked over to the hashpoint. The daycare center was closed, and I wanted to get to the hashpoint without intruding directly on their grounds.

I found that the easiest way to get to the hashpoint in the trees was to lift up a branch that was leaning against the bushes and step under it. Then I picked my way further into the trees and found the hashpoint.

Reporting the expedition was significantly delayed by

  1. attending the con and then returning home from it
  2. dealing with Hurricane Irma and its aftermath in South Florida. (Doing fine, BTW, and back to work.)

But better late then never.
