I left home at 11 o'clock. The sun was shining (like always in the last three month), but it wasn't that hot. After 1 1/2 hour I reached the Odenwald and from here on I had to climb some hills. But on the other hand, the landscape got much more interesting and nicer. Just 2 Kilometers from the hash the way got steeper. I had to go up 150 m in 1,5 Kilometers. That was exhausting, even with the support of the bull.

Then I took a path down into a forrest and found a sign "Danger area". You're entering the danger area of the quarry. There might be detonations. Please don't leave the ways. A short time later the path ended at a fence, just 100 m from the hash. Damn. I won't make it. But there is another path along the fence. Let's try this. Soon it leave the fence, and turned into the forest again, but then it got closer to the fence again. And to the hash. 75 meters to go. Into the - forbidden - forest. But it's sunday. They won't work in the quarry, would they? It was hard to leave the path, a dense copse limited the path. But it is a little bit less dense here. Let me just go to the fence again (I could already see it). Still 20 meters to go, when I reached the fence. This seemed to be the end of the line. But the fence makes a bow over there. Maybe, I can get closer? Let's just follow it. And then suddenly the meters counted down 10, 9, 8, 6. The circle of unsecurity was big in the forest, and so I had already reched the hash - somehow. But I wanted a better shot. 5, 7 again, damn. 6, 5, 4. Good, 7 again. Well, in the end I got a 1 (at least less than 2 m). I was next to the fence, so I'm notr really sure, on which side the hash was, but it is good enough for me, anyhow.

There was a little Felsenmmer (sea of rocks) running to the quarry just where the hash was. That is a special basalt formation. I followed it and reached the way where I left the bull much faster than I came. But at this point it was pretty hard to cross the copse again, because there was also a small bank that I had to climb. Anyway, I did it and to my surprise, the bull was just 10 meters away. I returnd the way I came and reached a street in around 2 kilometrs. From here it goes steep downwards immediatly to Hemsbach, where I took the train via Heidelberg and Mannheim back to Speyer.

Expedition

I left home at 11 o'clock. The sun was shining (like always in the last three month), but it wasn't that hot. After 1 1/2 hour I reached the Odenwald and from here on I had to climb some hills.
