This surely would have been a nice and close Sunday bike geohash (about 32 km roundtrip) for Manu and/or Reinhard, but with temperatures slightly above freezing point the chance for happy children on or in any kind of bicycle trailer would have been clearly below zero. So the decision was made to give that November afternoon a chance and go kiteflying with the kids near the hash. The bad thing was, that there wasn't any hint of wind in the North of Jena. The good thing was, that geohashes are in principle near the top of a hill and today's hash was really close, thus they gave it a try.

They all took the car to the road between Großbockedra and Sulza and walked to the hashpoint which was less than 1 km as the crow flies. To encourage the kids for walking, they had two very old frisbees which Reinhard threw little by litte towards the point. Reinhard was bad at throwing, but the kids good at picking the discs up, and after a while they really reached the hashpoint, taking a family selfie and unpacking the octopus kite. The wind was weak, but contniouosly which it made it pretty easy to keep the sea monster up in the air for a while.

To encourage the kids for walking, they used two very old frisbees which Reinhard threw little by litte towards the point. Reinhard was bad at throwing, but the kids good at picking the discs up, and after a while they really reached the hashpoint, took a family selfie and unpacked the octopus kite. The wind was weak, but continuously which made it pretty easy to keep the sea monster up in the air for a while.
