Use {{location|CA}} to tag expeditions that took place in Canada. It will add Category:Expeditions in Canada to the expedition.

Using ISO 3166-2 abbreviations, you may also tag the province/territory that the expedition took place in. Those abbreviations correspond to the abbreviations used by Canada Post and CIRA, with the exception of YK being used for Yukon by CIRA and YT being used by others. Both YK and YT can be used with this template.

If the category link appears red, do not worry and create the category. Make sure that it is included in the appropriate parent category, for instance, Category:Expeditions in Yukon is a subcategory of Category:Expeditions in Canada. The subcategories should be sorted in by their respective code.
