Nice work! Unless you paid for the tracklog it will disappear within a week though. That's why I always convert my tracklogs to something google will display.--[[User:Arvid|Arvid]] 04:42, 4 September 2008 (UTC) | Nice work! I do have some pictures, I had even started to make a page before my computer crashed mid-edit and forced me to start over. I will put one up soon. is there a handy template for making new write-ups? jumping back and forth between pages slowed me down somewhat. Straylight 06:19, 27 August 2008 (UTC)
Hey again. Pictures are up, finally figured out the upload. Also updated the Drag-along achevement page with our respective hashes. By the way, nice work on your hat-trick (three days in a row) Straylight 08:58, 19 August 2008 (UTC)
Hey man, thanks. I'm sorry again that I missed the morning meetup (plans changed the night before), but i'm sure that we'll meetup soon. I will post my pics as soon as I figure out the wiki's upload system. maybe i'll use yours as a template. I'm not even sure of the best way to get photo proof using my camera / GPS setup. Ok, thats a little early for me, how do we feel about 930-10? I'll for sure be there at that time, though I'll try to be early. Dollarton and Forester is a good back up location then. See you guys there!. Straylight 09:14, 17 August 2008 (UTC)
Sweet!, lets say 0900 hours. I know that's a bit early, but what else do we have to do on a Sunday morning? Since the satellite images or pretty old, and the site looks like a construction zone, as a back up location we can meet at the intersection of Dollarton Hwy and Forester St (say, on the south east corner). I'm going to be wearing my "Science" shirt, and I'll have a black roadish bike with me too. Feel free to yell out "Hey Pi Guy!" at the top of your lungs from across the street. See you all tomorrow! What Straylight said! I want to hit it up in the morning but wondering what time you'll be there! Sparks 04:52, 17 August 2008 (UTC)
Hey, just in case you don't get the edit on the vancouver talk page, what time were you thinking about hitting sunday the 17th's geohash? Straylight 11:47, 16 August 2008 (UTC)
Are you brave enough to try Saturday's hashpoint? I'd like to imagine that someone else will at least try!
Ooh, yeah, that cake is too small. I'll put the ribbon on your page when I get it made, though. -Robyn 16:35, 11 August 2008 (UTC)
I like the upgrade on your user page. I'm not going to tell you when I'll be home, so you can be surprised when we finally meet at a hash. -Robyn 18:39, 12 August 2008 (UTC)
Oh thank you for stopping by my user page to be encouraging. I was feeling the sting of defeat from Mother Nature and needed the reminder that I got 20 km closer to the geohash than if I didn't try, so I should be proud. I go now and meet my day. :-) -Robyn 11:30, 19 August 2008 (UTC)
$100 Wal-Mart boat? Don't be silly. If I wanted to get to a hash in the middle of the lake I'd buy a $5 Wal-Mart air mattress. Or maybe just swim. Today the hash is sitting there, in the middle of a road just waiting for me to rent a car. But I am strong. I will not turn to the dark side of geohashing. If only I could think of an excuse why I had to go there ... -Robyn 20:59, 19 August 2008 (UTC)
Bicycles hashes
I see. I had a little break, and the weather kinda sucks here now, but on wednesday i´ll hash, and that will be at least 40km, if the weather isn't too bad I'll make it 50-60 even. The weekend doesn't look to good here either, so I guess your 170km will be the longest for a while (assuming no one else shows up to compete). Don´t forget to take the lead on the Bicycle_Geohash page while you're at it. I like a bit of competition :)--Arvid 20:33, 19 August 2008 (UTC)
Re: Muddy bike. That's exactly what I was thinking. "Ha, I'll bet a WalMart bike never worked so hard!" And I totally would have cried to see that much grit going through the chain and dérailleur of my real bikes, but my attitude here is that I have to get my money's worth, so work it as hard as I can. -Robyn 16:43, 22 August 2008 (UTC)
GPS tracklogs
I use http://www.gpsvisualizer.com/map?form=googleearth to convert my .gdb (Garmin log)files into something google will display(kml, kmz). Should also work for .gpx files. --Arvid 03:13, 21 August 2008 (UTC)
Minesweeper
Don't forget to upload those pictures so our truly awesome ribbon can go live. -Robyn 03:54, 26 August 2008 (UTC)
I was wondering whether you would update the same ribbon or take new ones for each mine unovered. ;)
OMG! You took out the spaces! --Robyn 05:51, 26 August 2008 (UTC)
