Fermihashing!

Nice cornfield

So psyched! Hash fell in a restricted area that *I* had access to! It was actually in the middle of a field of corn that was *just* beginning to poke out of the soil; Fermilab rents its vast amount of unused land to local farmers.

I brought my lunch to eat outside, but because I didn't want to trample all over the new corn shoots finished it by my car. Also, the red flag that I used to mark the geohash (to best of my phone's mapping abilities) was given me by a nice groundskeeper person. So it's actually Fermilab property. And now it belongs to xkcd.

Awards

The Cubicle Geohash sadly does not quite apply, as the spot is a little over 1 km from my office. Maybe an honorable honorable mention? But I got a Restricted Area Geohash award!!

Restricted Area geohash award, please!!

Virgletati earned the Restricted area achievement
by accessing the (41, -88) geohash at a restricted FermiLabs site on 2008-06-20.

by working near the (41, -88) geohash on 2008-06-20.

Bonus adventures

After finishing my lunch I spotted a *mulberry* bush, and had dessert!

mmmmmmmmmm...

I'll probably make mulberry-flavored spirits out of this if my group doesn't devour the whole bowl.

And I finally got to see the high-rise through every single pi-pole.

Sy..mme..try...
The pi-poles that carry electricity along the fixed-target lines

Also, someone made a suggestion that today's geohash be moved to a spot right in front of the Fermilab Security office. Lazy Fermilab cop, whoever you are, I planted a nice red flag just for you. Hopefully the rain didn't wash off all the ink on the stick figures.
