I took a look at this hash but because it was so far away and with the weather being cold and miserable, I thought to give this a pass. However, I'm trying to get to all the centicules in the Buffalo Grat and Square .84 has not had an attempt yet. Reviewing the Streetview, I didn't see any posted signs, but that was also almost 10 years ago. I figured I'd give it a shot as this would be a quick hit after a 45 minute drive and then we could go for a hike at Darien Lakes State Park with the remaining light we had left.

After work, I packed up some food for the dogs and we were on our way. The drive over was uneventful and with the Streetview Scouting, I saw I would have to park in front of a business and short of the hash area since most of the street was 'No Standing Anytime'. Hopping out of the car, the wind was strong and cold, but we were only going to be out here for a few minutes. Hurrying over to the hash area, I was disappointed to see a gate across the 'driveway' area and a big "No Trespassing" sign. Oh well, getting some pictures, we quickly made it back to the warm car and drove the couple miles to one of the Trailheads I hiked a couple years ago after another expedition out that way.

The trail was pretty mucky with standing water in a lot of places in the beginning but we pushed through and explored a different way than last time. Where we were about to turn around, we found a creek with a nice waterfall so we explored a little there before heading back. On the hike back to the car, the weather got REAL weird. The snow started falling really heavily, but behind us, the sun was starting to peak out from behind the clouds. Before the snow eventually stopped, we had full blue skies above and behind us. Made for some really interesting pictures with the unique light and snow.
