Next to a swamp behind a shopping plaza in Yorkshire

Expedition

This hash was practically on the way to my parent's land in Bliss, so I took the dogs with me and we were on our way by 13:00. We had to go earlier in the afternoon because it was Father's day in the US and we needed to be back by 17:00 to get ready for dinner.

While looking for the correct driveway to get into the plaza, I passed a 7-Eleven in the corner of the plaza but was focused on getting to the hash. I should have stopped and made this a GeoSquishy hash but didn't feel like navigating the parking lot back to the store. So I just parked as close as I could to the corner of the lot that was closest to the hash. I got the dogs on leashes and walked around the corner of the building. I knew, from the satellite pictures, at the back corner of the building there was a path heading toward the hash. I found it with no trouble and at that point I took the dogs off the leashes so they could run free.

I also knew from the sat pictures that it was close to a swamp, but when I got very close, I started to sink in so I had to be very careful where I stepped. At first, I could only get within 14 feet or so so I had to get back to firmer ground and move over a bit and try again. My second try, I got under 10 feet and called it good. Meanwhile, the dogs are finding deep pools in the swamp and getting pretty gross. Fortunately, it wasn't horrendously stinky.

It was pretty hot in the sun, so funny enough, I stopped at the 7-Eleven to have a non-geo Squishy and we drove the rest of the way to Bliss and had a nice hike in the woods.

I am issuing a Tale of Two Challenge for Yorkshire for this hash.
