Expedition
When I (coyotebush) checked my phone in the morning, I had a Geohash Droid notification for this area (disabling "battery optimization" for that app after my last expedition seems to have helped).
I'm in Seattle for the time being, but I know this street as a popular walking route out of town. The following exchange promptly ensued:
- me: geohash on Lund Hill Ln today, anyone going for a walk?
- Dad: Mom's about to head that way. What should she do?
- me: perfect! does she mind taking a phone?
- Dad: Sure
- me: would be great to get a photo and maybe a maps screenshot
Not ten minutes later, a moment of worry preparing for that screenshot:
- Mom: I can't get my little blue dot to show up on the map
- me: might need to turn location on?
But it worked out! And by all accounts it was a nice morning walk.
