Expedition

Today's hash was on the A12 motorway, just a few kilometres from home, so it looked like a great opportunity to get the Speed Racer achievement. Kat needed to pick up her bike from Ypenburg station, which is almost right next to the hash, so we even had a good reason to drive there. The road was quite busy, which made it hard to stay at the 100 km/h speed limit. We tried it twice, but both times there was a truck in front of us, slowing us down to about 80 km/h. No speed racer therefore, but we did reach zero distance on the GPS.

Later in the evening we just happened to drive along the A12 again, so we tried to achieve the Speed Racer once more. On the one hand it should be easier now with less traffic, but on the other hand the speed limit is increased to 130 km/h after 19:00. Unfortunately, traffic was still heavy enough to make it impossible to reach full speed on the rightmost lane; we maxed out at 123 km/h this time.
