Location

Kingsville, TX in a field by Church's Chicken and Asian Buffet

Participants

  • Brother of Pedalpusher (as the Puppet)

Plans

Getting a notification this morning after the coordinates were published, I saw today's Geohash for Corpus Christi was in Kingsville close to my brother and it looked like it was accessible and easy to get to. I immediately sent him an email:

~~You want Asian Buffet for lunch(or dinner) today~~
~~You REALLY want Asian Buffet today~~

Since you decided to go to Asian Buffet today, it would be really neat if you could walk over to the corner of the field indicated here: (google link)

and take a picture of yourself. Take a picture of the Chicken place and the building for the Asian Buffet too. You can also take a picture facing North along the back of the houses.

You can do this one without the GPS (stand about 10 yards from the back of the house's backyard and 30 yards from the back corner of the Asian Buffet building) but if you want to be exact, download the Geohashing App to your phone and take a screenshot when you get to the hashpoint. Still take the surrounding pictures though.

If you are busy flying or can't make it by the evening, that's ok. I'll send you another opportunity when the geohash looks easy to get to.

He said he was going to head out to the gym but was willing to stop at the hash first on the way. My first Puppet Master attempt is beginning!

Expedition

My brother, Phil, has made it to the hash. Right at 11:00 Eastern(where I am and 10 am local time) I received a few texts with pictures showing he was at the hash.

He said he felt a bit foolish in front of the guy cleaning out the grease trap at the restaurant. "He gave me the weirdest look as I walked out into the field and took a selfie. Haha" I think most of us have had this experience at one time or another.
