I apologised and explained, he asked me to leave. I apologised again, accepted the failure and started heading away from the hash. | ||

I then rode off down the much shorter and better maintained driveway. I didn't make it far down the driveway before I discovered a flat tyre. I tried to keep riding on the flat to get away from the grumpy-yet-permissive farmer but it was no use. I lingered on his land for a few more minutes while I fixed the flat then escaped. | ||
