Plans

Today is New Year! Having had a successful expedition less than one week ago, I never imagined I could reach another geohash so soon again, and this time also in another virgin graticule far away from my home one. But lo and behold, I got lucky. In the geohashing sense of lucky.

Expedition

Thing is, me and my family welcomed 2015 in the province of Entre Ríos, in Argentina, in a city called Crespo, which is surrounded by lots and lots of crop fields, mainly soy and corn. We partied veeeery lightly last night, so in the afternoon we were already up and running. Around 2pm I discovered the hash point was less than 70 km from our location, and very close to a road, so after a little siesta we jumped into the car with mate and willing to get a little bit of adventure. My nephew Santiago, also wanted to know more about geohashing, so he came with us.

From Crespo we took a road leading west, in direction to Paraná river, until we reached a crossroad near Diamante, a touristic city in Entre Ríos, 25 km from our starting point. Then we took South, another 35 km following the route RP11 which goes to Victoria, and Santi & me reached the hash on one side of the road, after a little walk. Day was sunny and not very hot, which is a blessing in this province in this time of the year, because usually it gets too hot and the humidity is high.

We tried an alternative to the Stoopid Grin (TM), that I'd like to call the Stoopid Pose, standing on one leg at the hash point. My wife and Juan, my son, stayed in the car at first but then joined us for a final photo. Very nice hash!
