About

I returned to my home graticule from my brother's house in Nacogdoches, TX the day before, after having made my first successful geohash just the day prior to that (2008-12-30). The geohasing gods evidently smiled upon my efforts and rewarded me because the first geohash point of 2009 was very close by. It appeared easily reached and it would be the first successful recorded geohash in my home graticule, thus earning me the soon-to-be-rare Virgin Achievement which I display here proudly.

Expedition

On the web, this looked like an easy geohash. The terrain and vegetation made it much less so. My son Benjamin braved it with me and we made up a song to boot. A more complete expedition report with more pictures will soon be posted.
