Expedition

Astrid and I were on a road trip to the far east of the state to do some pack rafting. As we cruised eastwards, we eagerly anticipated the moment we would cross into the next graticule. Perhaps it is possible to see other graticules but we are novices and couldn't figure it out.

With johhn Cash's American recordings 1-6 playing on our speaker and us reminiscing the last time we were this far east (2013 on bikes as we left on our epic trip to Darwin and beyond) we almost forgot. But Astrid remembered to check, right at the perfect time and low and behold there was a hash not 10 mins off our route, the turn off a mere 4km away.

Excitedly we followed the directions, turning off the main highway to follow a road through farm land until we parked next to a paddock. Now all that was needed was to scale a small wire fence and walk a few metres into a lush green paddock. Hash achieved. We were both delighted.

This is Astrid's first hash. Here's to many more geohashes together!
