Given the average distances to cover this game basically results in road racing. Which is dangerous for both oneself and other people, and banned for a reason. I definitely do not want to see any kind of dangerous driving and breaking speed limits encouraged by here.

Call me a spoilsport or whatever you like but I feel rather strong about such "games". Half a million injured people per year alone in german road traffic isn't enough, huh? --Ekorren 20:54, 4 March 2009 (UTC)

:I do agree with you.  It seemed like a good idea, until I realized it boils down to a road race.  This wasn't a serious suggestion, just something I thought of when I read the retro-hashing page, but once I fleshed it out, I saw the same thing you did. -- Jevanyn

Would you need the "random date" and DIJA for that day? Why not just take a random number as input for the md5 function? -- relet 15:02, 5 March 2009 (UTC)

Road racing? :/

I do agree with you. It seemed like a good idea, until I realized it boils down to a road race. This wasn't a serious suggestion, just something I thought of when I read the retro-hashing page, but once I fleshed it out, I saw the same thing you did. -- Jevanyn

Geohashing?

Would you need the "random date" and DIJA for that day? Why not just take a random number as input for the md5 function? -- relet 15:02, 5 March 2009 (UTC)
