After a half-hour bike ride from my house near Green Lake down to the downtown Seattle ferry dock, an hour ferry ride to Bremerton, another 10-minute ferry to Port Orchard, and then another hour southwest by bike through beautiful wooded country in the Kitsap, I pulled up by the side of the road near the hash at 4:05 pm. It was an easy walk along a cleared corridor under high-voltage power lines and then about one minute of very minor bushwhacking through the adjacent woods, and I was there. See photos below.
On the way back, rain set in about twenty minutes before Port Orchard, and it was pouring in downtown Seattle when the ferry arrived, so I ended up taking the bus back home from the ferry dock. So not quite as much of a workout as I'd hoped... but still a success. And all without using the car.
