Location
Actually in a lake inside the Fort Lewis base. The gray area didn't show exactly well on the black and white display of my kindle, so we figured we could see if we can drive by.

The expedition ended right at the highway exit where we got carded and turned around. But only after convincing a friendly US military officer that it is actually legit to drive a car with a German driver's license in the US.
