Expedition
nesbiteg
On a gloriously clear, unseasonably warm, yet rather breezy day, nesbiteg was thrilled to find coordinates within his cycling radius.
He set off for a great ride from Pete's Mountain in West Linn and across the Willamette on the Canby Ferry, taking a survey to combat the county's consideration of shutting down the ferry. Continuing along his route, he turned onto fittingly-named Eldorado Road and began dreaming of striking gold on his first expedition.
Alas, as he neared the coordinates, he found his path blocked by an ominous barbed wire fence. Though he could come within 30 yards of the coordinates, he was unable to find an alternate route to the hashpoint. Lacking a tetanus booster, the rusty barbs of the fencing forced nesbiteg to resign from his quest. He sullenly headed for home, but the bitter disappointment was soon forgotten in the balmy February sun.
The Strava page for his ride.
