Plans

After a successful but, due to novicehood, insufficiently-proven expedition yesterday we decided try again today, should the hash fall in a reasonably accessible place. Checking it at lunchtime found it to be even closer, and as easily accessible as yesterday.

It was time to do things properly...

It was time to deflower Barrow-in-Furness for the world to see.

Expedition

This would be a later start then the previous expedition, as there were children to subdue and jobs to be done. This time, we were setting out in darkness.

We met up at RunawayBomber's spot and, after only a minor amount of procrastination involving Mini Cheddars, we set off.

Taking the easiest option, we hooked up the SatNav and headed out (again) into the badlands of Cumbria. After some minor confusions, and a pleasing lack of wheel-spinning in the mud, we arrived at the field.

This was not going to be a hard one. We parked up about 10 feet from the gate, and, using torches sparingly to avoid either attracting explanation-demanding farmers, or unpleasant cowpat related incidents (it's a fine balance to maintain...) braved the cold wind and rain and found our way to the hash.

A couple of photographs later and we had our second hash, and our first properly documented one. We scurried to the car, and set off for home.
