ok, again, am I missing something? the algorithm is explicitly designed so that you can't predict what the point will be in the future, so given the absence of a time machine plugging 5/26 into the tool isn't going to help.  However since 5/23 was friday, and the dow is closed saturday, sunday, and memorial day, the point for 5/23 should be equal to the point for 5/26 since that will be the "most recent down opening".  Again, unless I'm missing something

ok, again, am I missing something? the algorithm is explicitly designed so that you can't predict what the point will be in the future, so given the absence of a time machine plugging 5/26 into the tool isn't going to help. However since 5/23 was friday, and the dow is closed saturday, sunday, and memorial day, the point for 5/23 should be equal to the point for 5/26 since that will be the "most recent down opening". Again, unless I'm missing something

  • Take a closer look at the original XKCD comic. The date is part of the hash. Every day is different, even if the DJIA is the same. Also, use --~~~~ to sign your comments, please. :) --RobertB 17:19, 24 May 2008 (UTC)
