So Mr. Maccas was driving because I was quite tired, and we were heading North to Creswick to check out the hash and I got to thinking "what would happen if we crashed and died, what would it mean for our loved ones" and that's the turn to conversation took. Just east of Creswick we saw a Wallaby on the road, moving very slowly, luckily we slowed down just enough and it missed the car by mere centimetres. As we carried on Mr. Maccas told me about how lucky his new car is, it's had so many near misses, nothing had ever hit it, jokingly he added it might have a forcefield protecting it.

We found the hash to be in a private paddock so we could not access it. On the way back to town, as we came past the Reservoir, a kangaroo jumped out in front of the car. It bounced up onto the bonnet as we came to a screeching halt. The poor injured animal legged it into the darkness as we hopped out to inspect the damage to the car. Luckily it wasn't much. We drove home in an awkward silence, I was thinking maybe what I was thinking earlier about dying and how our loved ones would cope... that may have been a premonition. Plans

All pretty humdrum stuff, until we hit the kangaroo. And I was very sorry Mr. Maccas' car didn't have a forcefield on it, he's not looking forward to paying for the damage.
