It was a beautiful day. At noon, we started our journey. Shortly after departing Keuruu, the toddler fell asleep. We then proceeded to a geocache in Halli, Jämsä, to conduct a specific mission there (to rescue a stranded travelbug). Soon we were in the vicinity of the hashpoint. Meanwhile the youngest member of our expedition team had awoken. So she was able to come along to the hashpoint as well. Splendid! It was only 65 meters from the road to the point. Unfortunately even a meter of the thicket that started right from the edge of the road was too much for Mrs. Tilley's tights, so she couldn't proceed further. Too bad. Me and my daughter, however, made it all the way to the hashpoint, being very experienced in trudging-in-thickets-searching-for-geocaches-and-hashpoints.

Expedition

It was the Easter Sunday. We had been spending our holiday in Keuruu, and today we would be heading to my cousin's son's christening in Tampere. Conveniently there was a hashpoint along the way, only a few kilometers beside our route. It was in a graticule we hadn't visited before, thus it was very tempting to go. What made it even more tempting was the fact that we would earn the formal attire achievement with ease.

It was a beautiful day. At noon, we started our journey. Shortly after departing Keuruu, the toddler fell asleep. We then proceeded to a geocache in Halli, Jämsä, to conduct a specific mission there (to rescue a stranded travelbug). After successfully completing that, me and Mrs. Tilley changed into our formal attire. We then took a shortcut along some small gravel roads towards the hashpoint about 15 km south (and got lost only once).

Happy hashers on the point. Note a coltsfoot in the hand of my daughter. It's usually one of the first flowers in the spring in Finland.

After taking a couple of pictures for proof, we returned to the road. Soon we were again rolling towards Tampere, where we arrived precisely on time. Luckily the event started few minutes late.
