Pi Day In Elgin

Ok, this is NOT about an expedition in the normal sense, but defintiely fits in the spirit of geohashing.

I just moved to a tiny East Oregon town (Elgin). My business partner's about the only other really geeky person around.

So I was shocked - the local Catholic Church celebrated both St. Patricks and Pi Day with a combined event.

I won an incredibly cool Pi Pie dish . https://instagram.com/p/0O5oCtszOh/

And we played door prize games based on math... it was great fun!

(oh, and the entree was choice of shepards pie or fish pie, and of course pie for dessert - I had lattice top Cherry)
