Plans

Take the bus to the geohash, walk among the cars, and take the bus back.

Expedition

I had no issues with the outbound bus ride, save a few conflicts between the bus driver and other passengers that held up the trip a bit. I'm not certain who was more at fault in general, but I think this bus driver was simply a particularly zealous enforcer of the rules.

Once at the dealership, I proceeded to the part of the lot containing the geohash. My first inclination was to walk via the most direct path, but there were enough cars packed close enough together that this was not an efficient strategy. I eventually got to within a milliminute of my target, wedged between two adjacent cars, and decided I had succeeded.

It was only on the way out that I interacted with a denizen of the dealership, a man who was heading into the back lot when I passed him. I nodded at him in an attempt to convey "I have every right to be here carrying a laptop among your merchandise"; this must have worked well enough, because he made no overt response. Things might have been different if I hadn't obviously been leaving at the time of the encounter.

I spent just enough time at the bus stop right next to the state highway trying to get the transit-timing hotline working and trying to hear my desired route thereon for my bus to show up. Then I returned home.
