Plans
Now that work is over, I'm going to take the dogs to the park for a good run in a little bit and then drive to Clarence for the hash. Since the hash is right in the no parking section for the sidewalk/entrance to the building, I won't need my GPS for this trip.
Expedition
I suppose I should thank Jacksonz for submitting their report for today late. I saw the coordinates when they first came out this morning but they were kind of far away and I wasn't really planning on going. However, as I was wrapping up with work, I checked the Current Events page and saw no one had any reports out. Figuring I had a decent chance of a Last Man Standing ribbon, I decided I would give it a shot and hope all of the West Coast folks were busy. Oh, well.
I got the dogs into the car around 17:30 and we were off to Chestnut Ridge for a hike before going to Clarence. Walking in the creek, the dogs had a blast, but right at the start, I slipped and mashed my toe into a big rock. I thought I might get a Trail of Blood ribbon, but while it was tender, it was not cut. Finishing our walk in the creek, we got back to the car and were on our way to Clarence.
It was an uneventful drive, but I found the library, drove around the circle and parked across from the side entrance and the hash in the Town Court parking lot. There was a guy in the next space that was getting out so I waited for him to walk into the building. If he ever decides to geohash, I can confirm he has a Curse of Unawareness Ribbon waiting for him since he walked right through the hash. Getting out of the car, I took a few pictures, and we were on our way home. Another No Batteries success!
