Expedition

The training program I was in Regensburg for would start at 1 p.m. and I wanted to visit this nearby hashpoint before. I drove out from Regensburg on one of the large country roads, then I took a small road that led me through the villages Scharmassing, Neudorf and Hohengebraching to Niedergebraching. At the other end of Niedergebraching I parked the car next to some caravans. Then I walked along the field track until I was near the hashpoint. My hope sank when I saw that the hashpoint was in a field full of ripe wheat, but I was glad to see tire tracks in the field. First I walked to the other side of the field in order to get as near as possible to the spot without entering the field. There I found a pleasant surprise. The tractor had left (or entered) the field there and tire track were going directly towards the hashpoint. I used the tire track to get deep into the field and I even reached the coordinates directly on it. Hooray, another graticule for me! I didn't stay long, turning back towards the car soon. I took another route back to Regensburg and soon I reached the university's parking deck. After asking the information desk lady for the exact room I had to go to, I found it right at 1 p.m.
