Location
A few yards away from a daycare center in John's Creek, in a bit of woods.
Participants
Plans
This hashpoint was only about 1.5 miles from my sister's house where I was visiting for the weekend. It was also along the way to the train station via which I planned to go to Dragon*Con 2017 downtown that day.
Expedition
My dad had already offered to drop me off at the the train station, and he agreed to this very short side-trip along the way. He stayed in the car in a nearby parking lot while I walked over to the hashpoint. The daycare center was closed, and I wanted to get to the hashpoint without intruding directly on their grounds.
I found that the easiest way to get to the hashpoint in the trees was to lift up a branch that was leaning against the bushes and step under it. Then I picked my way further into the trees and found the hashpoint.
Reporting the expedition was significantly delayed by
- attending the con and then returning home from it
- dealing with Hurricane Irma and its aftermath in South Florida. (Doing fine, BTW, and back to work.)
But better late then never.
