Thanks for this. A couple of suggestions:
- We just call it 'PGP' or 'Public Key', etc, rather than 'User PGP', which sounds clumsy. 'PGP user' makes sense.
- That the Category 'PGP key owners' that Saxbophone made is included on the template. I've done this.
- That the template looks nice when used with 64-bit keys, as is the convention these days.
- That the link goes to the key itself rather than a search page which displays it as the only successful result. I've done this too. If you don't like it feel free to revert.

- Thank you for the suggestions!
- "User X" is the nomenclature for userbox templates, see also Special:PrefixIndex/Template:User and Category:Userboxes.
- The category was already included using Template:Userbox's
usercategory
parameter. You will notice that my user page is in Category:PGP key owners without explicitly linking to it. - Good point. I think it would be a good idea to keep the width at the current level since the other userboxes use that width too, so one possibility would be to change the font size, although that could be aesthetically displeasing too. If you find a way, feel free to change the template. Side note: While spaces could increase aesthetics, they would destroy the link.
- I thought about that. The thing is that the only change the
vindex
option causes is displaying signatures, in no way does it limit the search results to 1. (Even if you usevindex
, the headline still is "Search results for X") The only way to make it more probable that your key is the only key displayed, is to search for the full fingerprint instead of the shorter ID. Displaying the signatures too does no harm though, if you like it better this way I have no problem with that.
