Expedition

I was out at the lakeshore for a Team Trivia competition that ended around 3:30. I took a minor detour to the north on my way home to try this hashpoint. It was in woods behind a private house on 136th Ave, so I wasn't sure it would be accessible and I figured I would need to ask permission.

There were a couple inches of fresh snow on the ground, from snowfall that had ended around noon. The driveway, front walk, and yard of the house showed no tracks of people or cars. I rang the doorbell but got no answer. There were no "No Tresspassing" signs, and the neighborhood seemed generally friendly to woods visitors, so I walked around the house and into the woods. An inviting-looking two-track road led toward the hashpoint.

The walk to the hashpoint was short and pleasant. The GPS reading under the trees was a little jumpy. I saw a sub-1m reading flash by momentarily but managed only to screenshot about a 1.9 m reading.

Checking the temperature record from the nearby Woodlands station, I find that the expedition gets a Frozen Geohash achievement.
