Not driving in a part of the suburbs that's not terribly public transit friendly means that for the vast majority of hashes, I am reliant on my driving parents to have any chance of reaching them.

I mentioned this hash early in the afternoon to my mother upon seeing that it was only ~15 minutes from home, heard nothing from her for hours, and assumed that it was a no-go, but about an hour before sunset she offered to go and I took her up on it wholeheartedly!

My mother asked for me to try to stay on the sidewalk rather than going in the yard if possible and... I did try, but it never got closer than 10 meters when on the sidewalk. I did make a point of not awkwardly lingering near fences or anything, but it did take a few steps off the sidewalk to reach the hashpoint.

On the way home, I got a nice snapshot of the sunset, nominated something to be in Niantic's Wayfarer program (aka the thing that puts stuff in Pokemon Go et al.), and picked up a prescription. And the whole trip took only about an hour total. A successful and productive hash trip was had by all!
