This user earned the Vexillologist honorable mention by spotting an image of a flag while at the ({{{latitude}}}, {{{longitude}}}) geohash on [[{{{date}}} {{{latitude}}} {{{longitude}}}|{{{date}}}]].

The Vexillologist achievement can be claimed when you spot a flag while at the geohash. The flag does not have to belong to a country, so district/state flags, nautical flags, pride flags, etc. are included. You do not have to identify the flag that you spot, but doing so would generally be a good idea! Variations of flags (such as pennons/pennants) can be considered as flags for this achievement. Bunting should be considered on a case-by-case basis; would you honestly class it as a flag in everyday conversation? If you spot an image or drawing of an identifiable flag rather than a physical flag, you should claim the honorable mention ribbon instead.

You cannot bring your own flag to the geohash and then claim this achievement - the flag's presence at the geohash must be independent of your own expedition. Should another geohasher bring a flag to the geohash and leave it behind without coordinating this with you, you may claim this achievement, but any geohasher who decides to do this must ensure they are not littering.

Proof

As this achievement requires you to reach the coordinates, standard proof should be provided. You should also provide a photograph of the flag you spotted, and ideally refer to it in the expedition report.
