The Machias graticule is at latitude 44, longitude -67. It contains the rocky Maine coast, and is about half ocean. It also contains a small piece of Deer Island, New Brunswick in its northeast corner.
The settled coast gets progressively wilder as you head towards the northwestern corner of the hash.
