We've been meaning to hash in the Schaumburg graticule, and today the point fell just a few miles from the home of the Minlaws (Beth's parents) in Waukesha, WI. The point was in Saylesville, WI, about 100' off a road near the Saylesville Millpond. There are some very nice houses in this area, almost mini-mansions. (When I looked online I found that $500,000 buys a lot of house on a lot of land around here, once you get far enough out of the city.) It was raining, so we found the hash, took the photo, and went on our way. This was a very quick hash.

Back to Waukesha. We usually try to find pie after our expeditions, and since our hashing expeditions take us to random places, we eat a lot of random pie. Sometimes it's not very good. This time we had the advantage of a local recommendation from the Minlaws, so we all had dinner at the [http://www.rochesterdeli.com/ Rochester Deli] in downtown Waukesha. They didn't actually have pie, but their cakes and pastries were very good. Also: killer corned beef & pastrami. A pleasant and convivial meal to celebrate our first adventure in this graticule.

Expedition

We've been meaning to hash in the Schaumburg graticule, and today the point fell just a few miles from the home of the Minlaws (Beth's parents) in Waukesha, WI. So we loaded up the MinserVan with wife Beth, the Favored Grandchild, and Abby the dog. (Dog was once again our co-pilot.) An hour's driving brought us to Waukesha, and we visited with the grandparents and Uncle Scott for a bit, then Bill and starbird headed off to the hashpoint.

This time we had the advantage of a local recommendation from the Minlaws, so we all had dinner at the Rochester Deli in downtown Waukesha. They didn't actually have pie, but their cakes and pastries were very good. Also: killer corned beef & pastrami. A pleasant and convivial meal to celebrate our first adventure in this graticule.
