Location

A patch of woods close to Pumpkin Ridge Golf Course, in North Plains, Oregon. (Yes, golf fans, that Pumpkin Ridge.)

The hashpoint is about 300 feet from the Pumpkin Ridge Road. It was not in the nearby pond as some neighbors had speculated.

Participants

Plans

  • Jim
  • 3riador says that it is close to his house, and he'll be there.

Jim and 3riador didn't manage to meet up.

Expedition

Jim

Jim eventually found the correct road to take from Highway 26 towards the hashpoint. I know that road is over there, but I've clearly never been on it. And this is my second hashpoint in that area.

When I got closer, it was about time, but there was no sign of anyone else. I parked on a side road and walked back, finding a point on the road that was 300 feet away. It seemed like too far to venture without permission, so I started to ask neighbors who owned the land.

Jim finally found the owner, and went to look for the hashpoint. I was hoping it was going to be in the field, but it wasn't. It was in the woods, and the raptors attacked as I got to the spot, preventing me from getting a very good picture of the GPS unit. More details will follow.

Tracklog

Maybe if I manage to figure out how to upload it...

Photos

Once I get them out of the camera.
