Close to the side of the road near the town of Idstein.

thepiguy set out straight from mindless button pressing work and headed towards Frankfurt. By the time he arrived in Idstein is was, as expected, completely dark for his 3km walk.
It may have involved running across several highways in the dark like some sort of frightened animal, but thepiguy managed to find the appropriate field without getting run over in the dark or breaking his ankle walking through ditches along the side of the road.
He even made it back to the train station in time and didn't have to spend the night on a bench!
