If I take back roads home from my job in Kennesaw, this Geohash spot is only 0.5 miles out of my way. From Google maps, I could see that the spot that the hash is on is in a fenced in back yard. I decided that I would attempt this one instead of driving to the south end of the Atlanta Graticule which I knew was reachable.

I park on the side of the street and walk to the front door. I look at my eTrex 44 feet to go from the front door. I knock on the front door and a few seconds a man comes to the door. He says through the door to go around to the side of the house. As I walk through the wooden gate to the side of the house, I start looking at my eTrex. Just as I get to the first stair that leads up to the door, I see my eTrex go to 0.00 feet.

I continue up the stairs and talk with the home owner about Geohashing and show on the map the point I am trying to reach and tell him that I walked through the spot on my way up the stairs. I ask him if he would mind that I take a picture of my eTrex standing at the bottom of the stairs.

He says "No" and follows me out. He asks if that is all I am going to take a picture of. Not to see creepy or anything, I say "Yes" that is the only thing I am going to take a picture of. I walk to the bottom of the stairs and stop. The eTrex settles on 4.13 feet to go. I take two pictures. I wave to the guy and say "Thanks!" and start to walk off. He says "Your Welcome" and goes back inside.

I then get back in my truck and drive home to Norcross.
