It's close enough and the day is free enough that I want to attempt a bike geohash. Wish me luck.
Expedition
Let me start by saying that I haven't done a whole lot of riding my bike lately. Running and hiking, yes, but not cycling. Just what exactly possessed me to *want* to go and cycle 23 miles on a clear, cold, WINDY day in December, I'm not so sure. But I digress. If you couldn't tell from the track, I was facing a nice headwind from the northwest pretty much the whole ride out to the hash. I got off and walked for a half mile or so when I got pretty close, too, to warm my toes back up again. Of course, the hash was right near the top of a nice, long hill, too. Ah, yay. But I got there! And I lived to tell the tale. The ride back *downhill* and *downwind* was very nice. Went a lot faster, too. With one this close to town I guess I could have hung around until four to see if anybody was going to show up, but it was COLD. Maybe if it had been summertime I would have brought a picnic or something...
