The Manchester graticule is at latitude 53, longitude -2. It contains, in no particular order:
- Manchester
- Chester
- Liverpool
- Preston
- Bolton
- Blackburn
- Stockport
- Macclesfield
- Wigan
as well as numerous other built up areas, including the greater parts of the Stoke-on-Trent and Wrexham areas. Water geohashes are rare, but the graticule does contain the estuaries of the Mersey and Ribble rivers, as well as a small part of Morecambe Bay. Anyone wishing to go exploring these particular bodies of waters is generally advised against it. They're not particular safe places to go boating.

- Sunday 13: on a suburbian road (Gerald Rd) north of Peel Park in Salford (map).
- Sunday 27: on the side of a hill about 1km SSE of Widdop resovoir (map).
