Hi Ben. I'm Ben. Sorry I didn't notice your user page when you put it up, but I didn't do much geohashing earlier this year because of various other things I had going on. I'm in Cambridge, so I'm glad to hear of somebody vaguely nearby who might be a keen geohasher, although I notice you haven't been around the wiki very much since adding your userpage...
Anyway, let me know if there are ever any hashes you might make it to. Hashing is good fun, but even better if you get to meet people, so I'm always keen. I'd also be happy to give you a lift if there's one nearby that's a bit far for your pony-powered travels.
I suspect, by the way, that St Kilda will be your main problem in conquering the UK, not Lizard Point. At least the Lizard is connected to the rest of the country!
Hope to see you around sometime. — Benjw {talk} 07:00, 8 September 2012 (EDT)
I've been a bit out of sorts for a while, but I have also acquired (possibly unwisely, given my lack of general coordination on wheels) a racing bike, so my potential range has increased quite a bit, and I do need an excuse to exercise more. Looks like I missed a ridiculously easy hash on Grantchester Meadows last month...
Yes, you're probably right about St Kilda! I might restrict it to Great Britain rather than the UK. I do have vague ambitions of taking up sea canoeing one day, though ;-) — Transhumanist {talk} 10:28, 11 September 2012 (GMT)

Hi there. Tomorrow's (Sunday's) hashpoint looks easily accessible and Haberdasher and I are trying to arrange to meet up there. Do you have any interest in coming along? I can give you a lift from Cambridge if you like. See the bottom of my talkpage for discussion so far. — Benjw {talk} 07:34, 22 September 2012 (EDT)

Greetings. You may already have spotted that Wednesday's hashpoint is hugely accessible -- it's on the bank of the River Cam in Chesterton! It's only a mile from my house so I'm planning to walk over there. Are you interested in meeting up? — Benjw {talk} 18:48, 30 October 2012 (EDT)

Geohashing Day Invitation
All geohashers are cordially invited to the 10th anniversary 2018 geohashing day meetup in the Cambridge UK graticule.
- 21 May 2018 (Mon): An excellent celebration of Geohashing Day will take place at 4pm local time at a place yet to be determined.
- 26 May 2018 (Sat): is Mouse Over Day and might be more convenient so the invitation applies to this day too.
