Location

In a shallow area of western Lake Burley Griffin, beside a bridge joining parts of the Royal Canberra Golf Club, and near Government House (the Official Residence of the Governor General of Australia).

I drove to the small carpark outside the gate of Government House, then walked the 150m or so to the bridge between the fences of Government House and the Golf Club. Each said that trespassing was not a good idea.

The lake is probably quite shallow here, but still several metres deep. So, I could NOT get to the hash, but got as close to it as the bike-path bridge (representing mother nature) allows.

The long and un-winding road.
Gate-house of Government House, home of the Governor General of Australia, who I have met several times including doing an interview.
Trespassing.... not today, or ever if you like your freedom.
Royal Canberra Golf Club also has security.
Bike-path bridge.
A serene lake with the pontoons to stop people taking boats up to the bridge.
HASH part of the lake. Also see the white cockatoos (birds) by the lake.
