Upcoming Retrohashes

I've been searching, using the excellent resource at http://gh.eupeodes.nl/ to find retrohashes in my graticule. Specifically, ones within a few myriacules of my current home, as I rely on public transport and my dodgy feet.

Here's what I've identified as being viable retrohashes for me to achieve. My searches took me back as far as 2001-01-01:

  • 2012-07-03 51 -2 located at 51.37685876, -2.32779097
    • 10 minutes walk, across-campus, this hash is located in the South Car Park at the University. I should reach this one easily, even though I don't actually know that part of the site well.
  • 2009-08-22 51 -2 located at 51.37331591, -2.37126664
    • On a housing estate just South of Oldfield Park. My bus route terminates at Lower Oldfield Park, and this is a 7-minute walk from there.
  • 2008-11-04 51 -2 located at 51.39661919, -2.34096700
    • A little bit out of my way, North of the Uni. Maybe someday I'll have time to explore up there.
  • 2007-11-18 51 -2 located at 51.35828031, -2.36346602
    • Another road junction. This one could be a public transport hash, as it's on the 20C/20A route. The bus stop is just before it, however, so maybe I'll reach it on-foot first. (Does it count as a Public Transport Geohash if you reach it on-foot, and then go over it again on transport?)
  • 2005-04-08 51 -2 located at 51.37718744, -2.38414393
    • Another one in Oldfield Park. Near the train station this time, but still definitely walkable from the bus stop.
  • 2003-12-16 51 -2 located at 51.38319174, -2.38036408
    • On Windsor Bridge Road. This is so close to Sainsbury's that it makes sense to walk onwards to this hash. Seems to lead to a Hertz site, though, so may only be able to get within 50 yards. Does that count?
  • 2001-10-06 51 -2 located at 51.38344476, -2.33399527
    • On the Golf Course. I'm not a member, so maybe not for me to reach. But, who knows, maybe someone can use this one for their own nefarious purposes. Anyway, it's close enough that I could hypothetically reach it.

My Graticules

  • Bristol, United Kingdom - at the University of Bath, with access to hashes: near Claverton Down, in Bath, in central Bristol, or in Trowbridge. Exceptional areas may warrant my investigation.
  • Cardiff, United Kingdom - Within relatively easy access from University. Can fairly easily access exceptional areas on the south of the estuary. Have connections in the city, and can get to Wales in a pinch for extraordinary expeditions.
  • Birmingham, United Kingdom - When visiting my father in Tamworth. Can rope him into driving me to pretty much anywhere within this graticule, and have easy public transport access to Tamworth, Lichfield, Sutton and Birmingham.
  • Shrewsbury, United Kingdom - When visiting Tamworth, have access to the most Easterly edge of this graticule, especially to Stafford, Wolves and Birmingham West.
  • Norwich, United Kingdom - When visiting my mother in Scoulton, Norwich. Have public transport access to the villages to the west, and the city itself.
  • Manchester, United Kingdom - Most of my family live in Chorley, Lancs. Have access to some regions of this area when visiting.
  • Carlisle, United Kingdom - A few family members live in Lancaster. Can possibly access the Lancaster and Morecambe hashes when visiting.
