I got off work earlier than expected, so I decided to try for today's hash. I stopped on the way to pick up a friend who sometimes accompanies me on hashing expeditions. By the time we reached the point to turn off from the highway for the hash, it had grown quite dark (which it does fairly early this time of year). We were also about 10 miles outside of having any mobile coverage, so the geohash droid map wasn't showing properly. So given the darkness, poor map, and poorer roads, we made several wrong turns. The first time we stopped the car and started walking towards the hash, we were about 1300ft from it. But after walking a few hundred feet we were able to see a ravine in front of us that we weren't comfortable with trying to cross in the dark. So we went back and tried a different fork in the road. This one got us to a point about 500ft from the hash. So we set off walking again. Without a proper map showing on the GPS, we didn't end up taking the most direct route to the hash. But we did reach the hash. Expedition
After reaching the hash, we headed back to town, and went out to a Mongolian BBQ place for dinner.
