I'd been itching to go geohashing again for a while, but at first, I wasn't sure that this spot would be any more doable than the rest. Sure, it looked accessible physically, but it wasn't especially close to home (or anything else of great interest) and I wasn't feeling well. Funnily enough, I ended up being convinced to go by my mother, rather than the other way around as per usual. It was an excuse to get out of the house and go explore the suburbs, she argued, an argument I myself had made many a time before. So I went.

We took my grandmother with for the ride and grabbed a bite to eat before reaching the parking lot where the hashpoint was located. It was a pretty nondescript place, no different than the hundreds of other strip malls to be found in the Chicago suburbs, and there weren't any stores around that particularly interested us. I got out of the car and did the GPS dance, finding that the point was actually on the sidewalk bordering the parking lot rather than in the parking lot itself, then got back in the car for more meandering suburban exploration. Not an especially exciting journey, but I was glad to get back in the game after over two months of having to go without.

I'd been itching to go geohashing again for a while, but at first, I wasn't sure that this spot would be any more doable than the rest.
