I was coming back to Kiel this morning and since the ''Flixbus'' has got WiFi I checked with my notebook if there where hashpoints in Kiel or on the Autobahn. So I checked the graticule page and got the "holy shit that's close to my home". Not "couch potato honorable mention close" but close enough for a potentially lazy geohasher.

I studied the maps but unfortunately the hashpoint seems to be on the sports ground of the nearby school. Ok, I shouldn't be surprised. The hashpoint is in the town, so there is a high chance for the point to be at a non-public location. Since this school is a public one, it is a more or less public place and so the sports ground should be accessible, too.

So I walked to this school a bit past midday. The school just had a break, so I waited a bit before I went around. I walked a path which led around the school. The openstreetmap showed two gates at the site marked as "no trepassing" for bikes and on foot.

The first gate was closed and I walked around the sports ground to the second one, which was currently open. That was kinda lucky. At this time some woodcutters where working there, so they left the gate open. A great opportunity, so I sneaked in and took some quick photos at the hashpoint behind the goal of the football field. After that I left quickly, so no one could ask questions. So the grin was not very grinny, but it was a successful expedition.

Expedition

I was coming back to Kiel this morning and since the Flixbus has got WiFi I checked with my notebook if there where hashpoints in Kiel or on the Autobahn.
