Location
Parkwood Ridge Open Space on Mercer Island.
OpenStreetMap plots the point as right on the boundary between a forested area (which has a trail running through it) and someone's yard. Google Street View shows a "Parkwood Ridge Open Space" sign marking the trail on both E Mercer Way and SE 54th St. There's a geocache in this section as well.

Unclear how closely the point can be reached given property boundaries and what looks like dense undergrowth. The general location looks reachable by bike and/or bus (no local bus service on Mercer Island on weekends though). I'll try to check it out on Sunday afternoon.
