Who Went

The Expedition

This geohash was about 3km away from the office. So, it should have been easy, right...RIGHT? Well, not so much, but let's give it a try.

I left the office around 3pm and as I knew parts of the route, I was quite confident reaching today's geohash. I had to pass a roundabout and already saw a firefighter truck with flashers on, blocking the street...never a good sign. A made a detour and when I wanted to join the original street, I saw another fire fighter truck. I made another detour but know I was lost. Weßling might be a small village but with two streets closed I was running out of (known) options.

Navigation system to the rescue! It led me through small streets and even lanes to bypass the road blocks. And it worked, I could go around the incident. As I was driving, I did not see anything but reading the incident report of the local firefighters, it was an accident with two cars. Fortunately no casualties, but some injured.

After going straight ahead for some kilometers, I arrived in Unterbrunn and found a parking lot of a restaurant. From there, it was about 1km to the geohash. I passed some cows, and heard some horses, just the usual things.

Reaching the geohash was not a problem, it was approx. 4pm and I took the usual photographs. Nobody else was approaching so I figured going home might be a good idea. I took another route home, because I though the street might still be blocked.

Nothing special, but a nice after-work activity.
