Today's Location: [Waterloo, IA]
The Waterloo, Iowa graticule is at latitude 42, longitude -92. All points in the graticule are on land except those on rivers or lakes.
Features
This graticule contains all of Waterloo, Iowa and the surrounding metro area (Cedar Falls, North Cedar, Evansdale, Elk Run Heights, Raymond). It also contains Waverly,
Special Conditions
As of June, 2008 the Cedar River and much of the surrounding area is still flooded. Please check road conditions with the Iowa DOT. If today's location is under floodwater, it probably won't be much fun to geohash there, so please try to find an alternate (preferably dry) location.
Additionally, the town of Parkersburg was hit by a tornado on May 25, 2008, and the town has been cordoned off; only residents and approved volunteers and visitors are allowed in. As such, a geohash near the town is not likely to be viable.
