After my exam and some recreation in Hamburg, I wanted to do this hash in the evening, for which I had taken my bike into the city. On the journey north, I had to wait several times because my first train stopped early and the next one was cancelled, but I made it into the AKN and planned to ride it to Nützen station, which was only 900 m from the hash, for 53 minutes. But I forgot that not all AKNs continue all the way to Neumünster (north of Nützen); some stop in Bad Bramstedt (also comes after Nützen) and some already terminate in Kaltenkirchen, which is south of Nützen. Of course, my train stopped in Kaltenkirchen, and the next came in 40 minutes.
So I decided to cycle to the geohash from there, which was a little over 5 km. I arrived at the gravel quarry and found the gate to the street Google suggested (which leads into the gravel quarry) closed. So I cycled around to the other street and decided to make my way through 125 m of vegetation, which already proved difficult after a few metres because of high brambles in connection with a wide-branching tree. But I managed to make my way past that, and the rest was a little easier. I crossed some shrubbery and two large patches of nettle-like herbaceous plants until I made it to a small path that I noticed I could have just walked along from the street. From the path, it was only a few metres to the hashpoint, which lay under a low tree with branches sprawling everywhere. I took photos with my camera because my phone recently didn’t save many of those I took, then walked back 250 m along the path, trying my best not to step on any of the hundreds of slugs that covered it. (Unfortunately I did not get a good look at the quarry).
I found out that the next train from Nützen would only leave in 25 minutes before my internet connection gave up, but I remembered that a train would be departing from Kaltenkirchen in 19 minutes. Hungry and exhausted, I decided to make the journey regardless, which according to Google took 20 minutes, and surprised myself by arriving after 13. After reaching my home station, I cycled homeward, arriving more than an hour later than I originally planned.
